My Top 10 Twice+ Read Books

I have books all over my house. I have book cases full in the basement, bookcases in my room, and eventually will have more put in the living room. I have a full nook, samsung tab 4 nook, kindle, and all the apps on my iPhone. Books surround me during my every day life and I absolutely love it!

My parents have pictures of me and books since I was two years old and I have lots of reading awards from elementary and middle school. I remember winning March Reading Month when I was in first grade, and I even have a picture to remember that day by as well. In sixth grade I was nominated for student spotlight from my home room teacher and each teacher had to write a page response on why a particular student was chosen. I don't remember much besides Mr. G saying that I had probably read every book in the library and that his only complaint was how many times he had to tell me to stop reading when he was trying to teach science.

No matter how far I look back, I have always loved books. In high school I felt invisible but I was okay with that because I had more time to read books- and I read a lot! I remember having reading challenges with my friends. It was perfect because we all loved reading the same ones.

Years later I still love reading and there are many books that I have read multiple times and I will read again in the future. A lot of my books have tally marks on the inside of the front cover so I could keep track better! I'm going to list my top ten books/series that I love so much that I jump back into that world over and over again. These are the books that I will pack up when I am going to go on vacation. Some of them you probably know and others you probably do not, but I hope to post a review on each and every single on of them within the first year of this blog being reinvented!

10. Blue is for Nightmares Series by Laurie Faria Stolarz

This series contains four novels and one graphic novel to end the series, which to be honest I never have read. The order of this series is: Blue is for Nightmares, White is for Magic, Silver is for Secrets, Red is for Remembrance, and finally Black is for Beginnings. Laurie Faria Stolarz also has two other series as well as stand alone novels.

The synopsis for book number one is:

"I know your secret..." Stacey's junior year at boarding school isn't easy. She's not the most popular girl at school, or the smartest, or the prettiest. She's got a crush on her best friend's boyfriend, and an even darker secret that threatens to ruin her friendships for good. And now she's having nightmares again. Not just any nightmares- these dreams are too real to ignore, like she did three years ago. The last time she ignored them, a little girl died. This time they're about Drea, her best friend who's become the target of one seriously psycho stalker. It started with weird e-mails and freaky phone calls. Now someone's leaving Drea white lilies- the same death lilies that have been showing up in Stacey's dreams. Everybody thinks it's just a twisted game...until another girl at school is brutally murdered. There are no witnesses. Worst of all, no one has a perfect alibi. With everyone as a potential suspect, Stacey turns to the one secret weapon she can trust-the folk magic taught to her by her grandmother. Will Stacey's magic be strong enough to expose the true killer, or will the killer make her darkest nightmares come true?

9. House of Night Series by PC & Kristin Cast

This series contains twelve novels. The order of this series is: Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted, Burned, Awakened, Destined, Hidden Revealed, and lastly, Redeemed. There are also four novella's that fit in with this series as well. P.C. and Kristin are a mother-daughter duo that have created a FANTASTIC story line, and they both publish their own work as well!

The synopsis for book number one is:

The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed. In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire--that is, if she makes it through the Change. Not all of those who are chosen do. It's tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny--with a little help from her new vampyre friends.

8. Silence (#1) & Broken Silence (#2) by Natasha Preston

Natasha Preston has published nine novels total, which I have only read these two. From doing research on her website I have a few books to add to my to read list!

Synopsis for the first book:

For eleven years, Oakley Farrell has been silent. At the age of five, she stopped talking, and no one seems to know why. Refusing to communicate beyond a few physical actions, Oakley remains in her own little world. Bullied at school, she has just one friend, Cole Benson. Cole stands by her refusing to believe that she is not perfect the way she is. Over the years, they have developed their own version of a normal friendship. However, will it still work as they start to grow even closer? When Oakley is forced to face someone from her past, can she hold her secret in any longer?

7. Jason & Kyra by Dana Davidson

Dana had two books published from my quick research: Jason & Kyra and Played. This book as well as #2 on this list, I have had since I was in 9th grade. I read this book at least once a year because it is something that totally happens in every high school across the country!

The synopsis for Jason & Kyra is:

Kyra Evans isn't popular, or a girl who you stare at when you are walking down the hall. So why can't Jason-basketball star and the hottest guy in school-get her out of his head?Under normal circumstances, Jason and Kyra would live in their separate worlds up until graduation. But fate intervenes and the unlikely duo is paired up for a class project. Preconceived notions abound on both sides but Kyra soon realizes that Jason is not the dumb jock that she had assumed him to be. And Jason finds himself telling Kyra things he can't even tell his best friend. As the two become friends and eventually start to fall in love, no one in school can believe it-especially not Jason's ex, who is determined to break them up. Being together means navigating the obstacles that are coming their way-but staying apart may be impossible.

6. Hopeless (#1) & Losing Hope (#2) by Colleen Hoover

Let's be real, I will read anything by this amazing author over and over again. I think I connect to these two more simply because they were the first pieces of work that I read when I first heard the name Colleen Hoover. Her first book Slammed was published in August of 2012 and she has been publishing amazing pieces of work ever since and even has a movie deal in the works for Ugly Love. I do have to add that, hands down, Colleen Hoover is my FAVORITE author to follow on social media. Her posts are hilarious and so down to earth! I would love to meet this woman one day!

The synopsis for the first book is:

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies… That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried. Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

5. Gabriel's Inferno Trilogy by Sylvian Reynard

The reading order for this trilogy is Gabriel's Inferno, Gabriel's Rapture and Gabriel's Redemption. Sylvain Reynard has published another series, The Florentine series, which also contain three novels.

The synopsis for the first book is:

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption. When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide. An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible—forgiveness and love.

4. The Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day

The Crossfire Series contains five books, the fifth just being released April 5, 2016. The reading order is Bared to You, Reflected in You, Entwined with You, Captivated by You, and One with You.

The synopsis for the first book is:

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness... He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily... Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private worlds...and desires. The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...

3. Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James

So I love romance and obviously that meant that this would make the list. I have probably read the entire series (minus Grey) about five times. I don't care how rubbish you might think it is, my opinion is that it is awesome and I can't stop myself from reading it over and over again. Sorry, not sorry. This trilogy's reading order is Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, and Fifty Shades Freed. EL James also released the first book in Christian Grey's point of view as well.

The synopsis for the first book is:

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

2. Angel with Attitude by Michelle Rowen

Michelle Rowen has published numerous paranormal and romance books. This is the only book that I have read by Michelle Rowen which is super surprising since I love this book and my two favorite genres are romance and paranormal (even better if they are combined). Looks like I have more books to order...

The synopsis for this book is:

Valerie Grace isn't quite sure how she went from heavenly angel to plunging into the killer whale tank at Niagara Falls' MarineLand, but that's what's happened. All she knows is that earth can be a tough place for a fallen angel, what with all the demon Tempters lurking around every corner, anxious to recruit her to the "other team" - the evil team. All she can do is keep an eye out for the elusive Key to Heaven, try to help people, and hope that somebody up there notices what an angel she is, even if she's not literally one anymore. And try to avoid that really cute tempter, the one with the pale gray eyes and hypnotic smile, the one that makes her forget her own name and the fact that she's supposed to be a good girl.

And last but not least...

1. The Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands

I love love love love love love love this series. I have shared this series with multiple people and even have my grandma buying every single addition that is released, which is awesome because then she just gives them to me! This series has TWENTY-THREE novels and I'm not sure when Lynsay Sands plans on ending the series. This series was first published in September 2003 with the latest being published Feburary 2016. My favorite part about this series is you don't necessarily have to read them in order. Each novel is about a certain vampire from the Argeneau family tree finding their "soul mate," so by reading them in order you will have prior knowledge on couples when they are mentioned in the current story but you won't be lost!

The synopsis for the book listed as number one but not published first is:

That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau’s bed? He’s not dessert—he’s the main course!Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there’s another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sign of blood… an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Her mother thinks she has the perfect solution, and serves up the therapist on a silver platter (or at least a wrought iron bed). Of course it doesn’t hurt that this psychologist has a delicious looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that? Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger’s bedroom pretty quickly—once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor find true love with a hemophobic vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That’s a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into… if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

Connect with me- do you love any of these books as well? If so which is your favorite? Better yet, what is your top ten twice+ read list?!
